Kenya Daadab Camp

Kenya Daadab

For the last twenty years Kenya has been a safe haven for Somali’s fleeing civil unrest in their home country. This time around the Somali’s drifted into Daadab, the world’s most populated refugee camp in search of food. The 2011 Horn of Africa drought said to be the worst in 60 Years caused a severe food crisis affecting the entire East Africa region. A large number of refugees from southern Somalia fled to neighboring Kenya and Ethiopia, where crowded, unsanitary conditions together with severe malnutrition led to a large number of deaths.
